Lookism, Netflix’s new South Korean anime series based on a popular webtoon comic is releasing in November 2022.
As we are heading towards the end of 2022, a lot of anime names are coming into release. It’s great to see South Korean creators also coming into action with their anime creations this fall. Lookism, a South Korean Netflix original anime series based on a popular webtoon with the same name by Park Tae Joon is releasing on 4 November 2022. Lookism will be animated by Studio Mir.
PLOT OF LOOKISM
In a world where good looks are everything to society, Park Hyeong-Seok, a high school student is overweight and not so smart. He is being constantly bullied and teased by his classmates for his looks. After getting depressed by everything he decides to transfer to a different school.
Some days before his transfer, Hyeong Seok wakes and finds that his body has changed from chubby and unattractive looks to a smart, muscular, and perfectly toned one. Further, Hyeong Seok‘s original body is lying in his bedroom and when one body is awake the other one sleeps.
Having two completely different bodies, Hyeong Seok must learn to put himself in his new life with the new body and find the truth about where his new body comes from.
Studio Mir is the animation studio of the upcoming Lookism Manhwa. Previously, this animation studio has worked on big projects like Dota: Dragon’s Blood, Harley Quinn, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, and many more. The Manhwa of the series has a rating of 7.91 on My Anime List.

The Lookism manhwa will be coming in the Korean language with English subtitles. Uptill now there is no news about the series coming in more languages.
For a global release, subtitles will be provided in different languages across the nations.
The Lookism Manhwa will release on November 4, 2022, on Netflix as the key streaming platform.
